My Bookish Anticipation #2

Another list of my anticipated books!!!

Tapi kali ini sebenarnya bukannya antisipasi siiih.. lebih ke wishlist, karena kedua buku ini sudah terbit. Tapi, berhubung saya mau beli kedua buku ini kalau lagi bazaar buku aja seperti Indonesia Book Fair atau Jakarta Book Fair, jadi boleh dong ya masuk ke daftar ini. Eh tapi kalo ada yang mau hadiahin juga boleh banget lho *uhuk*KODE*uhuk*

Duuuh... Saya paling lemah sama buku-buku bercover cantik. Dan Noura kayaknya tau aja kelemahan saya. Koleksi novel-novel klasiknya memiliki cover yang cantik-cantik banget. Jadi deh saya pengen beli (dan baca juga pastinya)

1. A Room with a View karangan E.M. Forster

Cerita klasik tentang kisah cinta yang dimulai dari ruang penginapan tak berjendela. Nah loh! Sepertinya menarik deh. Dan yang terutama, novel ini sudah pernah difilmkan dengan pemainnya sama dengan pemain Harry Potter. Hahaha.. jadi pengen nonton. Cuma film lama sih, keluarnya tahun 1985.

2. Persuasion karangan Jane Austen

Nah, kalau yang ini, saya sudah nonton filmnya. Sayangnya, emosi tokoh-tokohnya kurang keluar di film. Saya pengen banget baca novelnya supaya bisa lebih menyelami pikiran Anne Elliot, si tokoh utama, yang harus menelan sesalnya setelah menolak lamaran dari Captain Wentworth. Iya, jadi cerita Persuasion itu tentang Anne Elliot yang menolak tunangan dari laki-laki yang ia cintai, Frederick Wentworth, karena Frederick ini miskin dan nggak bergelar. Siapa sangka, bertahun-tahun kemudian, Frederick udah kaya dan punya jabatan lumayan oke sementara Anne masih lajang dan punya masalah keuangan.

Saya biasanya kurang nyambung kalau baca buku klasik berbahasa Inggris, jadi dengan adanya terjemahan bahasa Indonesianya, terutama dengan cover yang cantik, semoga bisa membuat saya jadi semangat membacanya. Buat teman-teman yang suka ragu membaca karya-karya klasik, mungkin bisa ikut mencoba?

This is a new feature in this blog where every once in a while, I'll be posting the list of to-be-released novels that I want to read--just as my personal reminder. The novels will be mostly the foreign ones, since Indonesian books don't have long term publishing schedule like the foreign ones. But who knows later I'll add some Indonesian books too..

 My Comment: Stories which take place during 24 hours of the main characters' life always intrigue me. And so does this one. It seems magical and fun too.

My comment: This one reminds me a lot of Bubble Boy movie that made me love Jake Gyllenhaal. Very anticipating this one! But... but... September? O God WHYYY????
